We’re proud to announce that Pinpoint Finance are finalists in two categories at this year’s TheAdviser Better Business Awards: the Rising Star award and for Customer Service.
We’d like to thank TheAdviser for this massive honour, and all our clients and partners for helping us along the way.
When it comes to customer service, the team at Pinpoint are almost always available on Facebook, Skype, FaceTime, Zoom, emails, and that old school phone. Clients use our online client portal to streamline a mortgage’s often confusing and lengthy document submission process. We’re also the “glue” that connects clients to other services such as conveyancers, insurance brokers and buyers advocates.
Not to wait for stuff to happen, we took the lead in networking, founding the N3 professional network for finance professionals. Our Senior mortgage broker, Edwena Dixon moderates the Property Investors Australia Facebook group, which connects new and sophisticated investors to share tips, insights, and referrals.
Pinpoint is also in the business of empowering young women with finance. Edwena regularly speaks alma mater Melbourne Girls College in Richmond, teaching them financial literacy and the difference between wise investments and bad debt. She also hosts “Laneway Learning” events direct to the public, using Monopoly games as a learning tool for property and finance.
Finance can be complicated – especially if no one is prepared to talk about it. Perhaps you remember asking your parents about money matters, and being told that it wasn’t “up for discussion.” By breaking down the mystery around finance, we can empower young women – and men – to make better financial decisions and grow their wealth.
Fingers crossed we can put these two awards next to our Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) Rising Star award in 2015, which we won in our first year of broking. We were also finalists in the MFAA 2016 Residential Finance Broker Award in Victoria, which also prompted Edwena’s nomination to the MFAA Young Professional Advisory Board.
Best of luck to all the finalists, it’s a great achievement just to get a nomination!
